One of the innovations our ‘Future-proofing community food growing’ project allowed us to make on site, was to be able to offer single raised beds to people who want some growing space within a friendly allotment community, but aren’t able, or prepared, to take on a larger plot of land.

We currently have four raised beds available to rent – we charge £8 per growing season for the rent for each (and people can rent one, two, or four). If you are interested, please get in touch.

Each bed is just over a metre square and current tenants are demonstrating just how much veg you can grow in them, even in drought/heatwave conditions – watering and mulching is much simpler on this small scale!
