The first communal rainwater collection tank went in today. We fitted guttering along one edge of the toilet roof and a drainpipe to collect the water into an IBC tank. We put mesh over the hole in the top of the tank to keep leaves and creatures out, and poured water on to the shed roof to check everything was working. Now this just needs a tap fitting to replace the existing connector, but there’s rain forecast this week, so let’s see how quickly it fills up.
